Cecelia Boerenko is a Vice President and Relationship Manager within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Orlando, she has more than 16 years of experience in commercial real estate financing. She is responsible for the development, underwriting, structuring, analysis and closing of commercial credit facilities. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Boerenko served as Vice President of Commercial Lending for Central Florida Community Bank where she was responsible for originating, structuring and closing commercial real estate loans for such banking corporations as RGCrown Bank, SouthTrust Bank and Regions Bank. Most recently, Boerenko served as Vice President for Mercantile Bank as a Commercial Loan Underwriting Specialist. Boerenko holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from the University of Central Florida. |

Joseph Burns is a Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in New York, he has over 15 years of corporate banking experience. Burns is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Burns served equal time at Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan Chase), Key Corp and Merrill Lynch. He maintains vast experience in the financing of commercial real estate, equipment, working capital, and mergers and acquisitions. Burns holds a bachelor's degree in of business administration from Adelphi University and is a Licensed General Securities Representative with the NASD. |

Rick Burnton is the Managing Director of the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Minneapolis, he is responsible for managing the firm's Commercial Real Estate division and its underwriters and analysts located throughout the United States. The Commercial Real Estate division originates, negotiates, structures and closes commercial real estate loans across the country. Under Burnton's guidance over the past three years, the Commercial Real Estate division generated over $3.5 billion in loan originations, allowing Marshall BankFirst to become a premier project finance - commercial real estate lender in the United States. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Burnton had more than 14 years of real estate and commercial banking experience. He was Vice President and Finance Manager for Merrill Lynch, where he managed Merrill's Business Financial Services Group for Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Dakotas. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Burnton spent the majority of his early banking career with Marquette Banks as a Credit Analyst and Business Banking Officer. Burnton holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. |

Paul Chin is a Relationship Analyst within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Irvine, he is responsible for the development, underwriting, structuring, analysis and closing of commercial credit facilities. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Chin served as an M&A Financial Analyst at SG Capital, an investment bank based in Los Angeles. Chin holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of California, Riverside. |

Michael Conaghan is a Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Madison, he has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate financing. He is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Conaghan served as Director of Finance for The Great Lakes Companies Inc., where he was responsible for obtaining all first mortgage debt, mezzanine and equity financing including equity private placement structuring and negotiation, for their hospitality and Great Wolf Resort properties and senior housing properties including bond financing and tax credit sales. Before joining Great Lakes, Conaghan served as Co-Founder and Director of Loan Production for QuadCapital Advisors, where he was lead author of their business plan and financial projections. Prior to that, Conaghan served as Senior Investment Officer at Members Investment Management Company, where he was responsible for performance of a commercial mortgage portfolio totaling $267 million. Conaghan holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in real estate and finance from the University of Wisconsin. |

Ted Glasrud is a Vice President for Marshall BankFirst's Commercial Real Estate Division. Based in Minneapolis, he has more than 12 years of commercial finance experience. He is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Glasrud's previous experience includes nine years as an investment banker with Miller & Schroeder, lastly as the manager of its Corporate Capital department. Previously, he worked at Dougherty Funding, where he was responsible for originating and structuring real estate loans. Glasrud holds both a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in finance from Duke University. |

Eric Johnson is a Senior Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Orlando, he has more than 20 years of real estate and other financing experience. He is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Johnson was Regional President for Community Bank of Florida, where he was responsible for all aspects of the bank including loan production, credit analysis, processing and servicing. His past experience includes key lending positions with former banking pillars Barnett and AmeriFirst Bank. He has spent more than 24 years in the banking industry and served as a Senior Officer and Director in his most recent position. Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in professional studies from Barry University in Miami and attended graduate school in Colorado. He has completed numerous certificate programs in all aspects of lending and has served as Officer and Director of countless business and civic organizations during his career. |

Jim Krumm is a Senior Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Scottsdale, he has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience. He is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Krumm most recently served as President of Colorado Community First National Bank in Denver. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Community First Bankshares, Inc. of Fargo. Previously, at Mountain Parks Financial Corporation based in Denver, Krumm held several positions including Chief Credit Officer. Mountain Parks merged with Community First Bankshares in 1997. Krumm holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The University of Northern Iowa. |

Karen McGuire is a Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Irvine, she has more than 16 years of real estate experience. She is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, McGuire served as Assistant Vice President of WMF Capital Corporation where she was responsible for financial analysis and underwriting of commercial real estate loans. Before WMF, she served at the First Union Capital Market Group, where she provided due diligence and underwriting. McGuire has also served in similar roles at Southern Pacific Bank and ITT Real Estate Services. McGuire attended Illinois State University and DePaul University. |

Bill Oswald is a Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. He has more than five years of investment banking experience and is responsible for the negotiation, origination and distribution of financial products to institutional clients. Oswald concentrates primarily on commercial real estate loan originations and develops innovative financing solutions for prospective borrowers. Oswald's previous experience includes working within the Healthcare and Housing Finance division of The Marshall Group where he focused on the structuring and underwriting of FHA, FNMA and FHLMC-enhanced taxable and tax-exempt securities offerings. To date, Oswald has played an instrumental role in the origination and placement of more than $300 million in debt financing. Oswald holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Minnesota and a master's of business administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. |

Richard Pitts is a Vice President and Relationship Manager within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Atlanta, he has more than 10 years of real estate experience. He is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Pitts served as the Project Leasing Manager for Transwestern Commercial Services, where he was responsible for marketing and leasing a 1.1 million square foot portfolio. For eight years he served within the Jamison Advisory Services Group where, as Vice President and Director, he managed a national advisory consulting team of 10 commercial real estate analysts. He also held previous positions within that organization, including Senior Real Estate Analyst and Director of Research. Pitts holds a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in real estate from Georgia State University. He is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member. |

Amber Shimpa is an Assistant Vice President for Marshall BankFirst's Commercial Real Estate Division. Along with the office’s senior underwriters, she is responsible for the development, underwriting, structuring, analysis and closing of commercial credit facilities. Shimpa's previous experience includes positions in both the Real Estate and Loan Administration Divisions at The Marshall Group. Most recently, she served as Closing Coordinator in Loan Administration where she was responsible for the administration, coordination and management of loan closings, and processing construction loan draw requests. Shimpa holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of North Dakota. |

Sean Sjodin is a Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Sjodin previously served as a Commercial Lending Officer at Associated Bank. Sjodin holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Concordia College.

Bill Snyders is a Senior Vice President within the Institutional Sales division. He is responsible for institutional account management, business development and loan sales nationwide. Prior to joining the Institutional Sales division, Snyders was a Senior Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in St. Louis, he was responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Snyders served as Vice President and Senior Account Manager for GE Capital where most recently he was responsible for originating commercial real estate and equipment finance opportunities in Missouri and Iowa. He also served as National Sales Manager for GE's Small Business Finance division. Snyders began his career in mortgage finance at Citigroup, where he served as a Senior Sales Representative. Snyders holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Saint Louis University. |

Ronald Sweet is a Senior Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Atlanta, he has more than 17 years of real estate experience. He is responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of commercial real estate loans. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Sweet was a Vice President for ORIX USA Corp., where he was responsible for the origination, analysis and recommendation of new commercial mortgage loans. Prior to ORIX, he served for nine years in various roles for ITT Real Estate Services in Atlanta, including Senior Income Loan Producer. Sweet holds a bachelor's degree in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin. |

Paul Ekholm is a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Credit Officer for Marshall BankFirst Corp, and a Senior Vice President of Marshall Investments Corporation and Marshall Financial Inc., a registered broker-dealer subsidiary. He also chairs the firm’s Credit Committee and Resource Allocation Committee. He has been involved in the origination and underwriting of securities and loan transactions for almost 30 years. Ekholm has extensive finance experience in real estate, healthcare, corporate project finance and securitization of home and multi-family project loans and municipal finance. He is knowledgeable on environmental matters and the impact that hazardous contamination has on real estate financing. He has been called as an expert witness for litigation concerning these issues, and has spoken on related topics before the Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Ekholm frequently appears as a guest speaker at organizations such as the Minnesota Association of Commerce and Industry, William Mitchell College of Law, and the Minnesota and National Associations of Local Housing Finance Agencies. Ekholm holds a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College. |

Famias previously served at Miller & Schroeder for 10 years in several positions, including as a Financial Analyst in the Special Assets Division and in Commercial Real Estate where he monitored construction loans and assisted underwriters in loan originations. Famias also served as a Trading Assistant where he monitored securities inventory, and processed mutual fund and bond trades. Famias holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Moorhead State University. He is a licensed General Securities Representative with the NASD and holds a Blue Sky 63. |

Tim Sery is a Relationship Analyst within the Commercial Real Estate division. Based in Minneapolis, he is responsible for the development, underwriting, structuring, analysis and closing of commercial credit facilities. Prior to joining Marshall BankFirst, Sery gained commercial loan underwriting experience with MidCountry Bank where he was responsible for designing their underwriting procedures. He also created and implemented their credit approval presentation. After beginning his banking career with Marquette Bank, Sery went to American Bank where he was responsible for underwriting as a credit analyst on commercial loans. Sery holds bachelor's degrees in marketing, management and finance from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. |
