Position Summary:

Marshall BankFirst Corp, a dynamic financial services company headquartered in Downtown Minneapolis seeks a Loan Servicing Specialist for its Loan Operations group. As a working team member, this position is responsible for all aspects of servicing loans within a portfolio assigned to the team. Successful team members will be detail oriented self-starters who take ownership of their work and are accountable to fellow team members for the quality of work performed.

Responsibilities:

(1) Accurately build customer information record on ITI system and link to Client database; (2) Review post closing checklist and documentation for completeness and continuity with booking them; (3) Accurately board loans and participations on ITI within established timeframe; (4) Accurately process funding requests from participating banks; (5) Accurately process approved loan advances and construction draws on the day requested by appropriate credit department personnel; (6) Accurately disburse from interest reserves and escrow accounts as directed by credit department personnel; (7) Apply loan payments to the respective loan on the day the payment is received with accurate application of principal, interest, fees and escrow; (8) Disburse payments to participating banks through the Payment Tool within established servicing standard timeframes; (9) Provide payoff quotes to Team Leader for assigned portfolio; (10) Distribute borrower invoices and notification as assigned; (11) Process file maintenance accurately and timely as necessary to maintain integrity of loan data on ITI; (12) Research and resolve loan related non-posts by daily deadline as directed by Team Leader; (13) Research and resolve outstanding loan related general ledger/account reconciliation differences as directed by Team Leader; (14) Review and act upon daily edit/error reports as directed by Team Leader; (15) Gain a comprehensive understanding of ITI, the Loan Toolbox and general ledger/account integration as it relates to the cash for loan transactions; (16) Identify areas and recommend solutions to Loan Servicing Team Leader for improving processes, work quality, and internal controls; and (17) Provide various administrative duties to support team performance as directed by Team Leader.

Qualifications:

(1) Four year degree, preferably in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience; (2) Minimum one year experience in and knowledge of commercial and construction loan servicing; (3) Working knowledge of loan documentation and ability to review and interpret loan terms; (4) Hands on experience with a loan accounting system, preferably experience with ITI and the CIS, LAS, FMS, and IES or TMS modules; and (5) Excellent attention to detail and ability to work closely with other team members.

The Sales Operational Intern will assist in all areas of the sales department, providing administrative support to all members of the sales team.

Responsibilities:

The Sales Intern will be responsible for running daily, weekly and monthly sales reports; running progress reports for particular deals on a daily basis (showing which banks have called, if they've rejected a deal, etc.); run numbers for weekly sales meetings; update spreadsheets; track bonuses; assist in preparing Fed-ex packages; database management and other duties as assisgned.

Qualifications:

Interns must have completed at least two semesters of college education; currently an undergraduate or graduate student attending a university in the Twin Cities area, preferably seeking a degree in Accounting or Finance; and able to work a minimum of 20-hours a week. Marshall BankFirst Corp, a dynamic financial services company headquartered in Downtown Minneapolis seeks a Loan Servicing Team Leader to join its Loan Operations group. As a working team leader, this position is responsible for directing the workflow and performance of a team of four to six Loan Servicing Specialists. Primary duties of the team include loan/participant boarding; ongoing file maintenance; processing advances, construction draws, payments on loans/participations; collecting and disbursing escrow payments ; managing borrower invoices and notification; tickler management; and correcting loan related non-posts and resolving outstanding loan related general ledger/account reconciliation differences.

Responsibilities:

(1) Provide excellent communication, interaction and coordination of workflow within team, with other Team Leaders, and with other departments; (2) Direct and monitor daily performance of Loan Servicing Team through regular meetings with Team Members, daily edit/error reports, general ledger/account reconciliations, non-post reports, and follow-up on outstanding items; (3) Supervise and develop all members of the Loan Servicing Team; (4) Act as the lead problem solver/troubleshooter for the Loan Servicing Team; (5) Serve as team expert on ITI, Loan Toolbox and general ledger/account integration as it relates to the flow of cash for loan transactions; (6) Serve as the Wire Rep for respective team’s assigned portfolio; (7) Serve as Team Coordinator for initial funding and participant change workflow on assigned portfolio; (8) Review and approve payoff quotes on assigned portfolio; (9) Serve as the primary contact to assist Client Service teams (underwriting, sales and credit) on information relating to activity of assigned portfolio; (10) Monitor and enforce established service standards for Loan Servicing Team and individual team members; (11) Ensure Payment tool is processed daily on assigned portfolio; (12) Ensure “fully funded” draws are processed daily; (13) Follow-upon “pending” draws aged over five business days; (14) Ensure Team block work entries balance daily; (15) Audit accuracy of all team members block work at least weekly; (16) Evaluate and provide regular feedback on team members’ performance compared to established performance standards; (17) Provide ongoing training to team members to ensure complete cross training of all duties; and (18) Identify areas and recommend solutions to Loan Servicing Manager for improving processes, work quality, and internal controls. Effectively manager necessary changes, including buy-in from service team members for successful implementation.

Qualifications:

(1) Four year degree in accounting of finance preferred; (2) Extensive knowledge of and experience in commercial and construction loan servicing; (3) Minimum of one year experience in loan operations supervision; (4) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and (5) Minimum of one year working experience with ITI, particularly with CIS, LAS, FMS, and IES or TMS or minimum of five years working experience with similar banking and loan accounting software.
